Secluded Domains of Heaven and Earth
Updated: May 9, 2026
By: Joseph Horace
The Secluded Domains of Heaven and Earth are among the most mysterious and powerful existences in the Gu World. Unlike ordinary mountains, rivers, valleys, or resource points, these domains are natural manifestations of the Great Dao itself. They contain terrifying concentrations of Dao Marks, possess self-sustaining laws, and can influence entire regions without consuming immortal essence.
Many Gu Immortals consider them treasures comparable to Rank 9 Immortal Gu. Some can refine souls, distort time and space, reverse attacks, manipulate information, or even interfere with the laws of life and death. Throughout history, Venerables fought over them, integrated them into killer moves, and used them as foundations for supreme inheritances.
More importantly, Secluded Domains represent something beyond ordinary cultivation resources. They are fragments of Heaven and Earth’s authority made manifest.
Understanding Secluded Domains
What Is a Secluded Domain?
A Secluded Domain of Heaven and Earth is a unique natural wonder formed from an enormous concentration of Dao Marks. These Dao Marks become so dense and stable that they create independent laws and effects that persist naturally without external support.
Unlike Immortal Gu, which are refined lifeforms requiring immortal essence, secluded domains operate autonomously. Their abilities are permanently active because they are part of the natural structure of the world itself.
This is why many of them are described as “pseudo-Rank 9” existences.
Some domains can suppress entire battlefields. Others can affect souls, space, time, destiny, or information on a massive scale. Their influence is often far greater than a single Immortal Gu because they reshape the environment itself.
Core Characteristics
Massive Dao Mark Concentration
Every secluded domain contains an extraordinary amount of Dao Marks tied to one or more cultivation paths.
Dang Hun Mountain contains Soul Path Dao Marks dense enough to directly strengthen souls. Reverse Flow River contains profound Rule Path and Human Path profundities capable of reversing attacks and actions. The River of Time is filled with Time Path Dao Marks that sustain temporal flow across the entire Gu World.
This overwhelming concentration allows secluded domains to naturally produce miraculous effects.
Self-Sustaining Natural Laws
Ordinary killer moves consume immortal essence. Immortal Gu require feeding and activation. Secluded domains do neither.
Their abilities continuously function because they are stabilized by Heaven and Earth itself. They behave more like natural laws than techniques.
This is why destroying a secluded domain is incredibly difficult. One is not merely destroying terrain, but dismantling a stable concentration of Great Dao fragments.
World-Level Influence
Secluded domains often affect entire environments rather than single targets.
A single domain may distort space, interfere with movement, refine souls, suppress enemies, alter qi flow, or create deadly environmental hazards over enormous areas.
Because of this, possessing a secluded domain can drastically increase the strength of a Gu Immortal or even an entire super force.
Integration Into Killer Moves
Top experts frequently integrate secluded domains into immortal killer moves.
A secluded domain can act as the core of a killer move, massively increasing its power while reducing immortal essence expenditure. Since the domain itself already contains stable Dao Mark structures, it naturally amplifies related techniques.
This is one reason Venerables valued secluded domains so highly.
Origins and Formation
Naturally Born Domains
Most secluded domains are naturally formed over millions of years.
As Heaven and Earth Qi circulates through the world, Dao Marks gradually accumulate in certain locations. Under extremely rare conditions, these Dao Marks stabilize and evolve into a self-sustaining environment governed by unique laws.
These domains are essentially natural products of the Great Dao.
Some were formed before recorded history and have survived countless eras.
Artificially Created Domains
Not all secluded domains are purely natural.
Some were artificially created or transformed by Venerables and supreme experts. Through unimaginable methods, they condensed Dao Marks, merged resource points, or reshaped environments into pseudo-natural wonders.
Crazed Demon Cave is one of the greatest examples. It was transformed into an enormous research ground connected to eternal life and Dao derivation.
Resource Point Evolution
Ordinary resource points can theoretically evolve into secluded domains.
As Dao Marks continue accumulating over extremely long periods, the environment may gradually stabilize into an independent ecosystem with autonomous laws.
However, the requirements are terrifyingly high. Most resource points never reach this stage because their Dao Mark structures remain unstable or insufficiently concentrated.
This is the key difference between ordinary resource points and true secluded domains.
IV. Major Secluded Domains of Heaven and Earth
Dang Hun Mountain — The Sacred Soul Forge
https://basicutils.com
Among all Soul Path Secluded Domains, Dang Hun Mountain is arguably the most famous. Known as the “Soul Shaking Mountain,” it is a massive pink crystal mountain saturated with Soul Path Dao Marks. The mountain continuously emits invisible soul vibrations capable of shaking, damaging, or even completely shattering souls.
For ordinary living beings, Dang Hun Mountain is a forbidden land. Weak souls collapse instantly upon entering its range, while stronger cultivators experience increasing pressure the closer they move toward the summit. Yet this destructive property is exactly what makes the mountain priceless.
When shattered souls fuse with the mountain’s crystal surface, they condense into gutstones that contain Guts Gu. These Gu worms are considered the greatest soul cultivation resource in the Gu World because they strengthen the soul directly without side effects or impurities. Nearly every other soul-strengthening method risks corruption, instability, or soul mutation, but Guts Gu provides pure and stable growth.
Dang Hun Mountain originates from The Legends of Ren Zu and carries immense mythological significance. It later became the core asset of Hu Immortal Blessed Land before falling into Fang Yuan’s hands. Fang Yuan transformed it into the foundation of his economic empire by mass-producing Guts Gu and selling them through Treasure Yellow Heaven.
Its importance became even greater during Dream Path cultivation, since powerful souls were necessary to explore dream realms safely. Dang Hun Mountain therefore indirectly accelerated Fang Yuan’s rise toward venerable-level power.
The mountain was once nearly destroyed by Gruel Mud Immortal Gu, but Fang Yuan restored it using the Time Path killer move Landscape as Before, proving that even Secluded Domains can suffer damage under sufficient force.
Beyond resource production, Dang Hun Mountain can also serve as the core of terrifying Soul Path killer moves, including large-scale soul explosions capable of threatening high-ranked Gu Immortals.

Luo Po Valley — The Ultimate Soul Tempering Ground
If Dang Hun Mountain strengthens the soul’s quantity, Luo Po Valley refines its quality. The two domains are considered complementary treasures and together form the greatest Soul Path cultivation system in existence.
Luo Po Valley is a dark and dangerous valley filled with eerie fog and violent winds. It is recognized as one of the Ten Great Fierce Grounds due to its lethal environment. The valley contains two natural phenomena: Bewilderment Fog and Luo Po Wind.
The Bewilderment Fog loosens and destabilizes the soul, making it vulnerable and pliable. Once the soul is softened, the Luo Po Wind strikes like countless invisible blades, slicing through the soul repeatedly. Weak souls are destroyed instantly, but powerful souls are purified and condensed through the process.
This creates the famous soul cultivation cycle of the Gu World:
- Use Guts Gu from Dang Hun Mountain to expand the soul.
- Enter Luo Po Valley to temper and condense the enlarged soul.
- Repeat continuously until the soul reaches extraordinary levels such as the Diamond Soul realm.
The valley was hidden for ages by Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable through the use of Open Door Gu and Close Door Gu. Later, it became one of Shadow Sect’s major strongholds because of its immense value to Soul Path cultivation.
When Fang Yuan eventually obtained Luo Po Valley in addition to Dang Hun Mountain, he effectively monopolized the greatest soul cultivation resources in the world. This achievement shocked both righteous and demonic forces alike.
The Luo Po Wind itself is also a terrifying offensive resource. High-level cultivators can integrate the wind into killer moves that bypass physical defenses and attack directly at the soul level.
Door of Life and Death — The Origin of Souls
https://basicutils.com
The Door of Life and Death is one of the oldest and most mysterious Secluded Domains in existence. Unlike ordinary domains, it is not merely a location but an entire self-contained underworld connected to the cycle of life and death itself.
According to The Legends of Ren Zu, all souls eventually return to this domain after death. Within it exist the Road of Life and the Road of Death, representing the two directions of reincarnation. Deep inside lies the terrifying Lake of Death where souls dissolve and return to the natural cycle.
This domain contains an overwhelming concentration of Soul Path Dao Marks and is regarded as the origin point of Soul Path cultivation. Many resurrection methods in the Gu World involve retrieving souls from the Door of Life and Death before they fully disappear into the Lake of Death.
The domain is protected by legendary immemorial desolate beasts such as Zuo Ye Hui and You Ti Hui, beings that symbolize the boundary between day and night, life and death.
Spectral Soul Demon Venerable was the only cultivator to truly conquer this domain. By dominating the Door of Life and Death, he achieved unparalleled understanding of Soul Path and eventually developed methods connected to the Sovereign Immortal Fetus Gu.
During the Fate War, control over the Door of Life and Death became equivalent to controlling reincarnation itself, making it one of the most strategically important locations in the world.
Reverse Flow River — The River of Perseverance
The Reverse Flow River is one of the most iconic Rule Path Secluded Domains. Its defining law is simple yet terrifying: within the river, all things flow backward.
The river possesses such dense Rule Path Dao Marks that nearly all Gu worms become completely suppressed inside it. Mortal Gu and Immortal Gu cannot activate, forcing anyone inside to rely solely on physical strength, mental resilience, and willpower.
Unlike ordinary rivers, Reverse Flow River cannot truly be crossed. As a person approaches the apparent end, the river continuously extends forward. The only true way to conquer the river is through unwavering perseverance.
This concept culminated in Fang Yuan refining Perseverance Gu within the river, becoming one of the few individuals in history recognized by the domain itself.
The Reverse Flow River later became the core of Fang Yuan’s famous killer move, Reverse Flow Protection Seal. By wearing the river around himself like a flowing robe, Fang Yuan could automatically reflect incoming attacks back toward their origin. This defense became notorious because it required almost no reaction time and turned enemy power against itself.
Historically, the river was brought out of the Door of Life and Death by Genesis Lotus Immortal Venerable. Fang Yuan later became the second true lord of the river after seizing it from Old Ancestor Xue Hu.
More than a weapon, Reverse Flow River symbolizes the philosophy of resisting fate through perseverance.
River of Time — The Foundation of History
The River of Time is the most fundamental Secluded Domain in the Gu World. It flows invisibly through all regions and heavens, carrying the past, present, and future like an endless current.
Every moment in existence is part of the River of Time. Upstream represents the past, while downstream leads toward the future. The river itself is the source of all Time Path Dao Marks.
Within the river exist strange temporal islands, fragments of history preserved as stable locations. Some contain inheritances, memories, or hidden truths from ancient eras. Among the most famous are the Stone Lotus Islands created by Red Lotus Demon Venerable.
The River of Time is also essential for the operation of Spring Autumn Cicada. Time travel in the Gu World requires sending one’s will upstream through the river to an earlier point in history.
Because of this, Heavenly Court maintained massive Time Path formations within the river for millions of years to monitor temporal disturbances and hunt users of Spring Autumn Cicada.
The river is filled with dangerous lifeforms such as Year Beasts, Month Beasts, and Day Beasts, creatures formed directly from Time Path energy. Cultivators without proper protection risk rapid lifespan depletion simply by remaining inside the river too long.
Red Lotus Demon Venerable possessed the deepest understanding of the River of Time and used it extensively in his plans against Fate Gu.
Primordial Domain — The Ocean of True Meaning
The Primordial Domain is one of the most profound Secluded Domains ever introduced. Rather than controlling souls, space, or time, it contains the “true meaning” of countless cultivation paths.
This domain is essentially a massive collection of Information Path Dao Marks and accumulated Dao comprehension from the entire history of the Gu World. It acts like a living archive of realization, knowledge, and enlightenment.
Its greatest ability is the direct elevation of attainment levels. Cultivators entering the domain can absorb true meaning related to specific paths and dramatically increase their mastery. Under ideal conditions, it can even help someone approach Supreme Grandmaster attainment.
Because Supreme Grandmaster status requires innovation beyond existing knowledge, the Primordial Domain is invaluable. It allows geniuses to understand the current limits of a path and discover what lies beyond them.
The domain was hidden within the depths of Crazed Demon Cave as part of Limitless Demon Venerable’s million-year research project. During the battle between Fang Yuan, Giant Sun, and Star Constellation, pieces of the Primordial Domain were shattered and divided among them.
Unlike durable domains such as Dang Hun Mountain, the Primordial Domain is relatively fragile despite its terrifying value.
For venerables, possession of the Primordial Domain meant possession of knowledge itself.
Hu Land and Xi Land — The Breath of the World
Hu Land and Xi Land are twin Qi Path Secluded Domains representing the inhalation and exhalation of the Gu World.
Hu Land continuously releases vast quantities of Qi into the environment. It acts like a massive source of Heaven and Earth Qi capable of fueling devastating Qi Path killer moves and generating enormous Qi tides.
Xi Land performs the opposite function. It absorbs surrounding Qi like a cosmic vacuum, draining energy from the atmosphere and enemy attacks alike.
Separately, the two domains are already terrifying. Together, they form a complete circulation cycle capable of sustaining enormous amounts of Qi indefinitely. Cultivators controlling both domains can manipulate battlefield conditions on a massive scale, suppressing enemies by depriving them of Qi or overwhelming them with explosive surges of energy.
These domains were closely associated with Qi Jue Immortal, one of the greatest Qi Path experts in history and a rival of Limitless Demon Venerable.
Following the destruction of Fate Gu and the rise of global Qi tides, Hu Land and Xi Land became even more strategically valuable because they directly influenced the changing environment of the world itself.
City Well — The Prison of Perspective
https://basicutils.com
City Well is a bizarre Rule Path Secluded Domain that distorts size, distance, and perception.
To those trapped inside, the outside world appears impossibly vast, while the walls of the well seem endless and inescapable. To outsiders, however, the entire domain appears tiny and insignificant.
The domain effectively compresses anything entering it, shrinking beings and objects according to Rule Path principles. Escaping becomes extraordinarily difficult because distances stretch unnaturally during any attempt to climb out.
Because of these properties, City Well functions as an almost perfect prison and sealing domain. Entire ecosystems and variant human settlements can exist hidden within it without outsiders realizing their existence.
The domain was particularly favored by Minimen and other vulnerable races seeking refuge from human persecution.
Miniscule Mountain — The Holy Land of the Minimen
Miniscule Mountain is another Rule Path Secluded Domain closely connected to the manipulation of size. It serves as the ancestral homeland of the Minimen variant humans.
The mountain contains Rule Path Dao Marks governing the concepts of “small” and “large.” Any intruder approaching the mountain risks being reduced to miniature proportions, giving the native Minimen overwhelming territorial advantage.
This allowed entire Minimen civilizations to survive in secrecy, since the mountain itself could remain hidden in ordinary environments while appearing insignificant to outsiders.
Miniscule Mountain later became important to Fang Yuan because of its connection to Airsac Gu production, which enabled the transportation and commercialization of Guts Gu from Dang Hun Mountain.
The domain also supports killer moves capable of shrinking enemies, weakening attacks, and suppressing large-scale powers through Rule Path effects.
Lesser-Known Secluded Domains
Not all secluded domains possess overwhelming combat power.
Some are valuable because of their ecosystems, resource production, or research value.
These include:
- Refinement Sea
- Dragon Whale Paradise
- Earth Trench domains
- Heavenly Wind Wall regions
- Specialized underground Dao environments
- Isolated inheritance zones
While less famous, these domains remain treasures pursued by countless Gu Immortals.
Relationship With Dao Marks
Secluded domains are essentially physical manifestations of Dao Marks.
Every effect they produce comes from dense Dao Mark concentration and stable natural structures. This allows them to naturally resonate with cultivation paths and amplify related techniques.
A Soul Path domain strengthens Soul Path methods.
A Time Path domain enhances temporal abilities.
A Space Path domain distorts spatial laws.
This direct connection to Dao Marks is why secluded domains are so valuable for cultivation and Dao comprehension.
Secluded Domains in Battle
In warfare, secluded domains are terrifying strategic assets.
They can suppress enemies, strengthen allies, distort environments, and amplify killer moves. Some domains create nearly unbeatable defensive zones, while others transform entire regions into death traps.
Possessing one can change the balance between super forces.
For Venerables, secluded domains were not merely treasures. They were weapons capable of influencing the world itself.
Difference Between Secluded Domains and Resource Points
Although both contain Dao Marks, the gap between secluded domains and ordinary resource points is enormous.
Resource points mainly produce materials or specific resources. Their effects are limited and often unstable.
Secluded domains, however, possess autonomous laws and self-sustaining structures. They function independently and can affect entire ecosystems or battlefields.
A resource point is a concentration of resources.
A secluded domain is a concentration of the Great Dao itself.
Relationship With Venerables
Nearly every Venerable sought secluded domains.
Some used them to build inheritances. Others incorporated them into killer moves or transformed them into strategic foundations.
Because secluded domains contain stable Dao profundities, they are invaluable for reaching supreme grandmaster attainment and understanding the Great Dao at deeper levels.
For many experts, obtaining a secluded domain was equivalent to obtaining a path toward invincibility.
Conclusion
The Secluded Domains of Heaven and Earth are among the greatest wonders of the Gu World.
They are not simply powerful locations or rare resources. They are fragments of natural law made manifest — self-sustaining embodiments of the Great Dao capable of rivaling Rank 9 Immortal Gu.
From Dang Hun Mountain and Luo Po Valley to Reverse Flow River and the River of Time, these domains shaped the history of the Gu World and influenced countless legendary experts.
To ordinary Gu Immortals, they are unattainable miracles.
To Venerables, they are tools to challenge Heaven itself.
